Functions

The following roles and powers are assigned to the Quality delegate:

• Support the vice-rector for matters of teaching in the supervision and coordination of the processes of teaching quality evaluation and assurance.
• The supervision and coordination of the processes of monitoring and accreditation of qualifications and institutional processes.

Curricula

Jorge Luengo is a tenure-track lecturer in Contemporary History at the UPF Department of Humanities. He has a degree in History from the University of Valladolid (2002) and a PhD in History and Civilisation from the European University Institute in Florence (2011). He has also been awarded an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship from the Leibniz-Institut für Europäische Geschichte in Mainz. In addition, he has completed other postgraduate courses and study periods at different universities around the world, such as the Westphalian Wilhelm University of Münster, the Freie Universität Berlin, l'École des Hautes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, the University of the Andes in Bogotá, the American University of Beirut and the Ateneo de Manila University.

His lines of research focus on Spanish contemporary history from a comparative, transnational and global perspective. His publications include Una sociedad conyugal: las élites de Valladolid en el espejo de Magdeburgo en el siglo XIX mirrored (Valencia, 2014), as well as articles and book chapters for various leading academic journals and publishers such as the Journal of Global History, Diáspora and Parliaments, Estates & Representation. He has also been coordinator of the master’s programme in World History at UPF.
