Curricula
A tenured lecturer of Applied Mathematics with the Department of Economics and Business. He holds a bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences by the Autonomous University of Barcelona and PhD in Physics by Florida State University, and was a postdoc at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (United States) and a scholarship student at the Supercomputing Centre of Catalonia (assigned to the UAB).
On many occasions, he participated in the CICYT projects linked to members of the Theoretical Physics Group at UAB, and together with Professor W. Janke, he enjoyed a Collaborative Research Grant awarded by the NATO International Exchange Programmes.
He is the author of some twenty scientific articles published in journals such as Phys. Rev. Lett, Phys. Rev. B, Phys. Lett. B, Nucl. Phys. B, Physica A andKeio Economic Studies, among others.
Since 1993 he has taught several subjects related to mathematics and computer science, both in the former School of Business Studies and at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business at UPF.
He was a member of the Teaching and Research Staff Committee for eight years. He has been a UPF Senate member on numerous occasions and Senate representative on the Board of Governors. Over the last three years has been the rector's delegate for the university Senate.
