University Social Responsibility
The Social Council collaborates with the major strategic projects of the University, especially with those of greater transversality, such as Planetary Well-being. This project is also part of the more general framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and represents a determined commitment by UPF to assume its responsibility as a center of excellence for international research and teaching with respect to these objectives. planetary.
In the current course, 2020-2021, the Social Council also participates in the following institutional initiatives:
- Call for grants of financial aid for projects of social commitment and sustainable development
- Call for grants for activities to increase the social impact of research
- Call for grants for young mother researchers
The UPF Social Council, by nature and functions, fully assumes the centrality of social responsibility in the activity and strategy of the University and values the work carried out very positively, understanding that there must be maximum dissemination to society . To this end, until 2019, it also announced, annually, the call for university social responsibility projects.
