Knowledge Transfer
- UPF NODE, the knowledge transfer week which took place from November 7 to 11 promoted by the vice-rectorate of Knowledge Transfer and the Board of Trustees and which aims to publicize the University's transfer activities and tighten the toes of collaboration with society.
- UPF INNOValora call, this program, in its third edition, is organized by the Innovation Unit - UPF Business Shuttle and promotes the transfer to the market and society of the technological knowledge generated at the University.
The UPF Board of Trustees collaborates, on the one hand, covering the costs of training in transfer, innovation and entrepreneurship according to the needs of each project; on the other, awarding a prize of 5,000 euros to the project that demonstrates a better evolution of its approach to the market after its passage through the program.
- Knowdlege Transfer Award: until the 2019-2020 academic year, the Social Council has announced it, annually.
Teaching innovation
- Jaume Vicens Vives Distinction, created in 1996 by the Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya, individually and collectively, with the aim of recognizing the work of professors and also of university groups in their contribution to the improvement of the quality in the teaching, the methodological renewal and the elaboration of innovative educational materials.
- iGEM, a synthetic biology competition in which students must design and build innovative and sophisticated genetic engineering systems. The goal of this initiative is for multidisciplinary teams to design, build, and evaluate a system using interchangeable biological parts and molecular biology techniques, in order to solve current problems.
- Award for Quality in Teaching: until 2019, the Board of Trustees has announced it, annually.
