On April 19th took place the Second Hacklab Conference, an initiative integrated in the project, in which university students from different disciplines collaborated jointly to create projects related to technology, communication or digital arts.

Throughout the day, the students were able to attend seven hacktalks, which correspond to the projects that have been developed in the Hacklab:

• Un Gomet vermell ( A Red Sticker): A solidarity campaign to collect benefits for the NGO "Pallapupes", who helps to fight against the loneliness and the fear of children hospitalized with humour and makes the hospitals more human and friendly spaces. It is the winner project of the Hacklab Prize.

• Pompeu.cat: Social network of the UPF that wants to establish a constant link between the student and the University in order to disseminate resources and create a community.

• The pizza situation: Simulation game that warns about the dangers of misusing social networks.

• GameSquare: Digital platform for the purchase of videogames and video game consoles for smartphones. 

• Music and Machine Learning Lab: Music application for people with reduced mobility. 

Two UPF’s socio-cultural initiatives for undergraduate students were also presented during this conference:

• Debate league: oratory training sessions and debates where students of different degrees discuss about a topic and compete for being the best speaker.

• Horizons Project: social initiative in which UPF students visit secondary schools to talk about university and their future options.

The Second Hacklab Conference was organized by the Units for Support to Quality and Teaching Innovation (USQUIDs) and the Centre for Innovation in Learning and Knowledge (CLIK).
