"Manufacturing ignorance: Think tanks, climate change and the animal-based diet"

THINCKlima presented the paper "Fabricar ignorancia: think tanks, cambio climático y la dieta basada en animales [Think tanks, climate change and the animal-based diet]" authored by Núria Almiron (Universitat Pompeu Fabra), Miquel Rodrigo-Alsina (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) and Jose A. Moreno (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) at the 1st Climate Change Communication Conference at Complutense University of Madrid. This conference was planned to be held at Madrid (Spain) but, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, was moved to the internet from 6th and 7th of October 2020.

The paper provided results of an analysis of focus and frames of 110 European think tanks, with the aim to discover the attention they paid to the link between the animal-based diet and climate change. This research suggests a making of ignorance among the European think tanks about the ecological impact of people's dietary choices. The paper was presented by Jose Antonio Moreno.
