TIDE research lies at the intersection of human-computer interaction, network and computer applications, and learning sciences. In particular, it is framed in the area of Learning Technologies, an intrinsically interdisciplinary field comprising research topics that concern from learning systems to social technologies, standards and interoperability, and devices for learning.


TIDE has expertise in research around design, development and evaluation of technology-enhanced learning applications, learning design, analytics to support teaching and learning, (co-)authoring and social tools, computer-supported collaborative learning, serious games, mobile learning, competence development and assessment tools, interoperability specifications, …  through European and national research and innovation projects.
