Social Sciences and Humanities Open Cloud (SSHOC)
The Social Sciences and Humanities Open Cloud (SSHOC) project is a multidisciplinary research project enhancing the social sciences on the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
In this project, the European Social Survey (ESS) team leads the Work Package on Innovations in Data Production. In this context, the work focuses on deploying tools for cross-sampling, research in cognitive translation and translation procedures, and the creation of a multilingual corpus of survey questionnaires.
Specifically, ESS RECSM researchers have created the [MCSQ]: Multilingual Corpus of Survey Questionnaires and have also explored the implementation of cutting-edge methodologies in the translation of questionnaires by conducting experiments on the use of machine translation and post-editing.
