International students who study at UPF through a study abroad partnership with their university or study abroad provider may choose to complete their course registration at the Barcelona Program for Interdisciplinary Studies (BaPIS), the ESCI-UPF International Business Program or their regular UPF course selection with a project-based internship or a directed research project, each worth 6 ECTS.

These experiential learning components are addressed to excellent students who meet the specific admission requirements and who are seeking an international higher education experience that includes the development of research and professional skills. A special fee is applied to students participating in these opportunities which includes personalized supervision and tutoring before, during and after the term of study.
