I am interested in lexicon, both new lexicon (neology) and specialised lexicon (terminology), andI analyze it from different perspectives: sociolinguistic, lexicographic, morphological, discursive and also from a gender perspective. I studied at the University of Barcelona: I graduated in Catalan Philology in 1988 and obtained my PhD in Philology in 2002.
I teach Neology, Terminology, and Language and Gender at the Department of Translation and Language Sciences (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona) and I am the IP of the IULATERM research group at the Institute of Applied Linguistics. I also chair the Equality Committee of our Department.
