Interact International Workshop on"The Role of Countries of Origin in Migrant Integration in the EU. Integration as a Three-Way Process"

In the framework of the INTERACT project, GRITIM-UPF is organizing this workshop that will be held on the 23rd and 24th of October.

The aims of the Workshop are twofold, both addressed to two main dimensions of the INTERACT project.The first day, 23th of October, the purpose it to analyse the linkages between local authorities in destination and origin countries concerning integration of immigrants, through a round-table that will take place at DG per a la Immigració - Generalitat de Catalunya.

The second day, 24th of October, the aim is to better understand the role of origin countries and societies in integration processes, through two sessions, taking place at UPF-Campus Ciutadella: the first one dedicated to emigration and diaspora policy of origin countries (Bolivia, Ecuador and Senegal); the second one addressed to understand the effects of origin states' and societies' action on immigrants integration through the analysis of selected migration corridors (Belgium, Italy, Spain and U.K.).
