GRITIM-UPF's Partners

GRITIM-UPF is partner of the following international networks:

a) Anna Lindh Foundation: GRITIM-UPF became a partner of the Anna Lindh Foundation for the dialogue between cultures on September 2010. The purpose of this foundation is to bring people together from across the Mediterranean to improve mutual respect between cultures. Since its launch in 2005, the Anna Lindh Foundation has launched and supported action across fields impacting on mutual perceptions among people of different cultures and beliefs, as well as developing a region-wide Network of over 3000 civil society organisations. 

b) Compendium of the Council of Europe: It is a compendium of experts and groups which deal with over 80 issues of cultural policy organised in chapters on historical developments, decision-making processes, main objectives, current policy issues, legal frameworks, cultural institutions and partnerships, funding provisions, support to creativity and participation.  Ricard Zapata Barrero (GRITIM-UPF's director) is on of the experts of this Compedium.

c) Intercultural Cities: The Intercultural cities network is the result of a joint action between the Council of Europe and the European Commission. As part of the network of Intercultural Cities, GRITIM-UPF constructed the Intercultural Cities Spanish Network (RECI - Red Española de Ciudades Interculturales) in 2011 and continues to manage it throughout 2012, as a joint action between the Network of Intercultural Cities (and the European Commission) and Obra Social "la Caixa".

d) IMISCOE: In January 2011, GRITIM-UPF joined the IMISCOE Research Network, which aims to answer questions such as "What are the causes and nature of current migration processes?, "How can migration flows be managed and influenced?", "How can societies maintain social cohesion and societal viability?" or "How can scientists, policy makers and practitioners in the field exchange knowledge and experience?". It is made of relevant institutes all across Europe.
