We are pleased to announce the three winners of the Master's Thesis Award in Migration Studies 2018-19!

After careful evaluation, we are very pleased to announce that Philippa Sophie Fraas' Master's Thesis supervised by Zenia Hellgren and entitled The Impact of the “Burka Ban” in Denmark - The Veiled Women’s Lived Experiences has been selected as the most outstanding Master’s Thesis in Migration Studies during the academic year 2018-19!

The winner of the 2nd most outstdanding Master's Thesis is Eliot Escalona, supervised by Juan Carlos Triviño Salazar, whose thesis is entitled Climate Change Displacement: Looking Back to Find a Way Forward. A Process Tracing Approach to the Climate Change and Migration Nexus.

As for the 3rd most outstanding Master's Thesis, it was awarded to Arianne Henrieke Ekenhorst, supervised by Gemma Pinyol-Jiménez, under the title “Don’t Touch my Hair” - Unheard Voices of Afrofeminism in Spain.
