GRITIM-UPF welcomes Sezen Türkkanlar as our new PhD candidate!

Sezen Türkkanlar is a PhD candidate at the Departmant of Law at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where she previously completed her Master’s Degree in Advanced Legal Sciences. She holds a BA degree in Law from the University of Istanbul. Her master dissertation consists of a legal analysis of the Statement of 18 March 2016 agreed between Turkey and the EU, in light of international law on asylum. Her interests mostly focus on the legal and social impacts of externalization policies of the EU, readmission agreements and the concept of safe third countries. She is a licenced member of Istanbul Bar Association.
