On Thursday (19 Octubre), Iain Chambers, professor of Sociology of Cultural Processes at the Università di Napoli-L’Orientale, will open this year's "Research in Action" Seminar Series (2023-2024), jointly organized by GRITIM-UPF and the European Insitute of the Mediterranean (IEMed). The lecture, entitled "At History’s Edge: The Mediterranean Question", seeks to puncture prevalent European understandings of the Mediterranean. 

The session will be moderated by Ricard Zapata-Barrero, full professor, Department of Political and Social Sciences, EuroMedMig Coordinator and Director of the Master in Migration Studies, GRITIM-UPF, and will take place on Thursday 19 October 2023, 18:30-20:00 (CEST), at IEMed (Carrer Girona, 20. 08010 Barcelona, Aula Mediterrània). Attendance is free and open to the public.
