EuroMedMig is now welcoming submissions to its Working Paper Series! Are you a researcher working on migrations in the Mediterranean and want to share your outputs with a large and sound scholarly audience? We are looking forward to disseminating research in progress that contributes to the debate on Mediterranean Migration Studies in an innovative and critical way, particularly beyond Eurocentric lenses and through an interdisciplinary perspective, by promoting knowledge exchange between scholars from all the rims of the Mediterranean and beyond, and by fostering new insights and perspectives on Mediterranean Thinking in the Migration research agenda.
Topics suggested may span from mixed-migration dynamics, governance systems at different scales, political geographies or geopolitical aspects of migration in the Mediterranean, to migration-related challenges such as the role of Civil Society, inclusion, interculturality, or urban spatial segregation, just to mention a few. Contributions from a Southern or Eastern Mediterranean perspective are particularly encouraged.
The publication process is easy and very fast, as EuroMedMig is committed to publishing the final version with no delays after its submission. Once submitted, the paper is subject to a quick double-blind peer review process, which enables the author to have a first objective critical assessment of the paper before its publication. As it is open access with copyright creative common protection, it ensures immediate online dissemination and allows authors to track metrics. Lastly, as a work-in progress, it does not preclude subsequent publication in a book or journal.
Contributing to the Working Paper Series offers you the possibility to frame your work within EuroMedMig geographical spectrum, which reaches more than 19 Mediterranean countries, and which is an IMISCOE Regional network on Euro-Mediterranean Migration.
