Abstract: The talk will identify the varied social themes related to women & minority groups in context of an Asian country – India. The session will examine the key ideological sources that shape gender & minorities in India. Through case examples such as the Pink Chaddi (Pink Underwear) Campaign and others, it will present a panorama of interrelationship of traditional media and modern tools of social media, with issues of gender and minorities in India. The 100-minute session will be followed by 20 minutes of Q &A and class discussions.
Bio: Dr. Sanjukta Choudhury- Kaul is faculty member of the Binus International, at Jakarta, Indonesia and Ph.D. by Monash Business School and M.A. by Nottingham University Business Schoo and Pune University.
