The Chair in Futures of Communications launches its first call for research projects
The Chair in Futures of Communication announced today the launch of its first call for grants, aimed at junior and senior researchers from the UPF Department of Communication. This initiative seeks to promote the development of short-term empirical research focusing on the state and trends of the media in Catalonia, with the objective of exploring emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, new media formats, business models, and the consumption habits of new generations.
The call, which will accept proposals until December 4, focuses on funding a single project that receives the highest score based on originality, impact, methodological rigor, and feasibility. The selected proposal will receive a grant of €10,000 to cover research-related expenses, such as travel, goods, services, or software required for data analysis.
The results will be published on December 20, 2024, and the winning project will begin its research in January 2025.
The research findings will be presented at a special event organized by the Chair, providing visibility for the research team within the academic and professional community.
