Àrea Tallers
The Workshops Area was created in response to the new learning and knowledge transfer challenges posed by Pompeu Fabra University. It's a model designed around transdisciplinary learning and new ways of generating knowledge, integrating student flexibility and versatility, as well as collaborative work among society, businesses, and the university. It thus provides a gateway to knowledge transfer and continuous synergies, aiming to foster an intercultural and intergenerational encounter.
In this regard, the Workshops Area offers the necessary spaces and services for learning conceived through practice, and for cultural production. This is understood as a tool for social reflection that encourages critical thinking and stimulates students' imagination and creativity. Key components of the Workshops Area include the UPF's Integrated Newsroom, which shapes the Diari de Barcelona from within the university; the Art Gallery, an exhibition and cultural production space; the "En Construcción" room, where students and film industry professionals can screen their works on a large screen throughout the different phases of the production process; and the "En Residència" incubation program.
