The DTCL is co-organizer of the Deep Learning Barcelona Symposium (DLBCN) 2019 that takes place in Barcelona on December 19 and 20.

The Deep Learning Barcelona Symposium (DLBCN) 2019 aims to show the potential of Barcelona in the field of Artificial Intelligence and will feature world leaders in deep learning that will meet, for the second consecutive year, in Barcelona. This unique meeting brings together multidisciplinary researchers in the field of deep learning and shows the potential of Barcelona to become the artificial intelligence hub of southern Europe. Four researchers from our department (Laura Aina, Gemma Boleda, Roberto Dessì, Ionut Sorodoc) participate, with two talks and two posters.

The symposium is organized by the main universities and local research centers in the field of machine learning: the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), the Computer Vision Center, the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), the Open University of Catalonia ( UOC), Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and the University of Barcelona (UB).
