Rap enters in the classroom

Recently, the monograph “El rap entra a l’aula” [Rap enters in the classroom] has been published by Rosa Sensat. The monograph has been coordinated by Cristina Aliagas, who holds a Juan de la Cierva-Incorporación postdoctoral scholarship at UPF. This publication includes contributions from music journalists, secondary school teachers and researchers who have studied the affordances of rap music in the Catalan context. It finishes with a final comment by Prof. Daniel Cassany (UPF). From this monograph, the project of integrating rap music in the classrooms in Catalonia, based on a collaboration with the rap artist Pau Llonch, vocal of the rap band At versaris, has appeared in the national press, in Diario Público and El Periódico.
