b) Monthly payment (between 6 and 10 instalments) at 0% interest - AGAUR (FINAN)
With this option, which is handled by the Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR), you can pay the total amount of your tuition fees in several monthly instalments. This depends on the date you sign the loan, and is subject to the following conditions:
- Interest rate: 0% per annum
- Arrangement fee: 3,25% of the total tuition fees.
- Commission for early payment: €0
To apply for the loan, the total tuition fee must be between 500 and 9,600 euros, and only students of Spanish nationality or non-Spanish nationals holding a NIE can apply (passports or other documents are not valid). In such cases, the addition of a co-title holder who can prove sufficient income will be requested. The financial institution will assess solvency.
The loan does not include changes made subsequent to enrolment. The amount must be paid in a single payment by direct debit.
If you choose this option, you must have the IBAN code and authorize the AGAUR to transfer your data to the chosen financial institution. You will receive an email at your UPF address setting out the steps you must follow to contract the loan.
If you are awarded the general grant, you will be refunded the amount covered by the grant you have paid with the loan.
