Oral Fluency in Spanish Workshop

These face-to-face oral fluency workshops are designed to help you gain self-confidence when speaking in Spanish. It is a 30-hour course in which in each of the sessions you will develop skills to communicate and be able to successfully interact in Spanish daily life. In order to do this, the workshop follows a practical and participatory methodology based on carrying out activities actively using the language: day-to-day oral exchanges, simulations, conversations about current affairs, interviews, surveys, group discussions or dialogues in pairs. Furthermore, special emphasis will be placed on certain phonetic aspects that will help you to improve your pronunciation and intonation.

 

Course details:

  • Contact hour and type of course: 30 contact hours; face-to-face classes (75 teaching-learning hours in total).
  • ECTS credits: Up to 3 ECTS credits. To obtain credits for extracurricular activities, you will need to be awarded a certificate and send it to your academic coordinator at your home university (FAQ). Your home university will decide how many credits you are awarded. At the UPF, if you are an international undergraduate student, you can be awarded 3 ECTS credits per course and up to 6 ECTS credits (see here current regulation).
  • UPF Certificate: Certificate with level CEFR achieved.
  • Number of students per group: 10 minimum; 20 maximum.
  • Who can enrol: Everyone over the age of 16.

 

Course objectives:

Once you have finished the course, you will:

  • Be able to express yourself correctly in a wide variety of formal and informal situations.
  • Have developed different communication strategies and expanded your conversational vocabulary.
  • Be able to communicate orally with a sufficient degree of fluency and naturalness.

Entry requirements:

Workshop 1 is aimed at students with an intermediate level (A2-B1) of Spanish. Workshop 2 is aimed at students with an advanced (B2) o superior level (C1 - C2) of Spanish. In order to confirm your enrolment, you will have to demonstrate your knowledge of Spanish by:

We will confirm your enrolment on the course once you have demonstrated your level and if necessary, we will change the level you have initially selected.

 

Fee: €260

  • The price of the course includes the teaching, the material and resources available in the Global Classroom of the course, and the UPF certificate of the course.
  • The price does not include the course dosier.
  • Idiomes UPF reserves the right to cancel any course if the minimum required (10) is not reached. In this case, the fee for the course would be refunded.

 

Refund policy

If you enroll on a course which in the end you are unable to attend, Idiomes UPF will refund the full enrolment fee as long as you send us your request to [email protected] before the course starts. Otherwise, the fee for the course cannot be refunded.
