Catalan language and culture: Express Courses

Description

The Catalan Culture and Language Survival Kit one-week face-to-face course (10 hours) is meant to offer a cultural and linguistic welcoming experience that prepares non-Catalan-speaking students and staff to start their studies or work at UPF in optimum conditions.

  • Duration and modality: 10 hours, face-to-face
  • Calendar: from 8 to 12 April
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday from 3 to 5 pm
  • Students per group: minimum 10; maximum 25

Course structure

CATALAN LANGUAGE SURVIVAL KIT

Short format workshop that provides newcomers with their first contact with the Catalan language. In this course students learn the necessary skills to acquire a high level of oral and written comprehension and to start communicating in the Catalan language in the most common situations of everyday life: on the street, at university, in stores, etc.

CATALAN CULTURE SURVIVAL KIT

Short format workshop that provides exchange students with the basic concepts necessary to understand the Catalan nation historically, linguistically and culturally.

You must take the two workshops that make up this pack: Catalan Language Survival Kit and Catalan Culture survival kit.

 

Access to the course

Only members of the UPF community can access these subsidized courses.

NOTE: If you are a member of the UPF Group (BSM, ELISAVA, BGSE, ESCI, ESIM, IBEI and/or TCM, and some PRBB profiles), we regret to inform you that you have no access to these courses. Idiomes UPF will check that all applicants are eligible to attend the course. If the applicant is not eligible, Idiomes UPF remove the applicant from the course.
