• Course description: Have you joined the University recently and need a short, free introductory course to the Catalan language? In only 10 hours this course will allow you to acquire basic Catalan structures and vocabulary in an academic environment. The course, in addition to linguistic training, includes information about the tools, resources and training that teachers have at their disposal in the UPF, in order to facilitate their professional development in this language.
• Objective: Provide the newly arrived teacher with knowledge of Catalan language at A1 and A2 levels as well as the first tools and resources to be able to develop their teaching work in Catalan.
• Target: UPF Teaching and Research Staff of the UPF with little or no prior knowledge of Catalan.
• Trainer: Elisenda Campmany, Idiomes UPF
• Duration: 10 hours
• Class Day: Tuesday & Thursday
• Schedule: 10 am - 12 pm
• Calendar: January 31 + February 2, 7, 9 & 14 (5 sessions) 
• UPF Certificate: On successful completion of the course, the participant will obtain a certificate containing the course details.
• Fee: Free for UPF Teaching and Research Staff (PDI)
