STEP Programme

The STEP Programme (Start Teaching in English Programme) is designed to help PDI who are or who intend to teach academic subjects in English. The programme consists of three separate elements.

  1. English Medium Instruction Methodology (10 hours, 2nd term).
  2. Materials Development and Pedagogical Support (2 hours, 2nd term). Personalized individual training so that teaching staff can receive help in the design of teaching materials in English.
  3. Classroom Observation (2 hours, 3rd term). Personalized individual training in which teaching staff can ask for one of their classes to be observed and then meet with the trainer to receive feedback.

Information on the individualized

Teaching and Research Staff interested in teaching in English now or in the future and who have participated in the “Metodology for Teaching in English” course have the possibility of having two hours of individualized training focused on the observation and improvement of their classes in English during the second term.

How can I enrol on the course?

In this case, registration will not be necessary. UPF Languages will send an email to the “Metodology for English teaching” course participants to offer them this possibility of continuing their training with this individualized course.

If a member of the Teaching and Research Staff who did not participate in the Methodology course is interested in taking this training, they can write an email to [email protected] so that their participation in this training can be evaluated on a case by case basis.
