The aim of this programme is to welcome new teachers to UPF and initiate them in planning activities, developing teaching methodologies and evaluation so that they are able to integrate them into their teaching. 

It is free of charge and is recognized with a certificate of aptitude eligible for submission in AQU and ANECA accreditation processes.

 

 25 hours - online, asynchronous - in English and Catalan - open throughout the academic year (from October 2023 to June 2024)  

Recipients:

  • All teaching staff who have recently joined UPF
  • Compulsory for junior lecturers 
  • Recommended for other teaching staff such as tenure-track, trainee research staff, researchers who teach, adjunct lecturers, predoctoral and postdoctoral students, etc. 
     

Aims:

  • To welcome new teachers to UPF, informing them of the services, units and resources that the University provides them with as teaching and research staff members. 
  • To acquire and implement the knowledge, skills and basic attitudes linked to the teaching competences of university teaching staff within the educational framework of UPF, for the development of their teaching career.
  • To initiate the teaching staff in planning activities, developing teaching methodologies and evaluation so that they are able to integrate them into their teaching.
  • To become aware of the need for educational innovation in the university context.

Evaluation:

  • Answer and pass the online questionnaires after each content module.
  • Prepare a short final electronic portfolio: collection of evidence of learning, given that there is no face-to-face attendance. A short feedback report will be provided at a later date.
