5 ICT resources for the classroom

Collaborative questionnaires, online timelines, shared whiteboards, etc. Don’t miss out on the latest advances in educational technologies!

According to the Lifelong Learning Platform, "digitalisation is growing as ever and will soon inevitably affect all sectors. We still struggle to understand the extent of it and few are fully prepared for it.”

UPF’s CLIK proposes 5 information and communication technology tools to use with your students:

  1. Kahoot: Gamified application to create evaluation questionnaires like competitions among the students. Students answer the questions prepared by the teacher through a mobile device and obtain a ranked score. You can elaborate surveys in order to know how well acquainted your students are regarding a certain topic or use it later to evaluate the knowledge acquired.

  2. Padlet: Digital tool that allows you to create collaborative whiteboards and personal files with texts, images, videos, links, etc. The program is useful for different learning methodologies, such as the flipped classroom methodology or the project-based learning.

  3. Timeline: Multimedia tool for creating interactive timelines. Both students and teachers can create chronological axes and add important events to them.

  4. Popplet: Online application that allows you to structure and visualize ideas graphically. It offers the possibility to create conceptual maps, graphics, image galleries, etc., individually or collaboratively.

  5. Edpuzzle: App for creation, edition and modification of videos that allows you to generate "videolectures". It helps to check the monitoring and the understanding of the students through the addition of questions into the videos.

The Center for Innovation in Learning and Knowledge (CLIK) is responsible for the promotion of teaching and learning transformation at UPF by encouraging teachers to incorporate tools, resources and trends for pedagogical optimization.
