Each year, a total of eight researchers in the areas of Law, History, Economics, Political Science and Humanities from the European University Institute (EUI) (Florence, Italy) come to the UPF to attend the Max Weber Teaching Practice Week where, throughout the week, they receive training in university teaching as part of the Max Weber Programme.

This year, Bernardo Rangoni (Politics), Aydin Baris Yildirim (Politics), Anna Tzanaki (Law), Athina Sachoulidou (Law), Alessandro Spinganti (Economics), Grace Ballor (Economics), Alessandro Bonvini (Humanities) and Benoit Maréchaux (Humanities) will participate in the programme for a week under the supervision of several tutors from the Academic Coordination Units of Economics, Law, Political Science and Humanities at the UPF.

During their stay, the Max Weber fellows take part in and collaborate on teaching activities related to their disciplines, receive specialised training in teaching and they have the opportunity to meet professors and researchers in their fields of knowledge. Furthermore, the CLIK and Idiomes UPF also offer them a training and evaluation programme for their linguistic and teaching skills.

The UPF is one of the universities participating in the Max Weber Programme along with the University College of London (United Kingdom), Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), Humboldt University (Germany), Masarykovo Univerzita de Brno (Czech Republic) and the European University Institute (Italy). Our university has participated in this programme since 2010 and up to today it has hosted 74 international researchers.
