UPF's Grau Obert (Open Degree) counts with a mentoring programme where first-year students are assigned a previous year student as a mentor on their first university day. This programme, partly designed by UPF's Center for Learning Innovation and Knowledge, aims to facilitate the university access to freshmen in terms of social and insitutional adaptation. Mentoring a new student means guiding new students especially in university-related issues, something that the former students have already gone through. For 2018-2019, 9 previosuly trained mentors will be tutoring the 31 new students of the Open Degree.
