At the initiative of the Equality Unit, since the 2019-2020 academic year, UPF campuses have enjoyed inclusive facilities. Three different types of signage have been applied so that everyone feels catered for. Gender-neutral toilet facilities prevent discrimination against non-binary persons, as provided for in the UPF Equality Plan (action 5.9) and in the “Guide for incorporating sexual and gender diversity in Catalan universities”. In addition, toilet facilities have been labelled for persons using a menstrual cup as well as areas to attend to infants.
