LUIS PEGENAUTE

Professor of Translation at Pompeu Fabra University. His fields of research are literary translation, Comparative literature, and the history and theory of translation. He has been the principal investigator for various research projects on these subjects, which have resulted in 20 book publications, of which he is co-editor, such as Historia de la traducción en España (2004), Diccionario histórico de la traducción en España (2009) o Diccionario histórico de la traducción en Hispanoamérica (2013). He is co-director of several specialized digital portals, such as the “Biblioteca de traducciones españolas” and “Biblioteca de traducciones hispanoamericanas”, hosted by the Miguel de Cervantes Virtual Library, and the “Portal de Historia de la Traducción en España”. He is the director of the academic series “Relaciones literarias en el ámbito hispánico: traducción, literatura y cultura” at Peter Lang, and the journal Métodos en Traducción e Interpretación, which is affiliated with the Iberian Association of Translation and Interpreting Studies, of which he has been President. He has held various management positions and currently directs the doctoral program in Translation and Language Sciences at Pompeu Fabra University.
