Part 1: Transdisciplinary research and internal synergies
10:15h: Presentation
Angel Lozano, Scientific Director of the María de Maeztu Strategic Research Program at DTIC-UPF
The primary objective of DTIC-UPF’s second MdM programme is to launch and implement a strategic program which takes the unit’s interdisciplinary research to a new level and makes strides into transdisciplinary research. This reflects a concern for the complex nature of the challenges facing society: some of these challenges can only be tackled through transdisciplinary efforts. To this end, DTIC-UPF’s MdM programme aims at promoting i) synergies with the rest of UPF and associated entities, establishing both research collaborations and actions that can be sustained over time and ii) engaging with the Planetary Wellbeing initiative.
Carla Lancelotti, Director of the Center of Studies UPF for Planetary Wellbeing.
The UPF Centre for Studies on Planetary Wellbeing was launched in 2022 with the aim of creating synergies between different stakeholders working on Planetary Wellbeing within Universitat Pompeu Fabra. The activities promoted by the Centre encompass the different levels of UPF involvement in, and foster its commitment to Planetary Wellbeing.
