The second María de Maeztu Strategic Research Program of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies (DTIC) at UPF (CEX2021-001195-M) is a 4-year research initiative funded under the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2021-2023. The objective is to put DTIC’s expertise on intelligence, both artificial and natural, at the service of research efforts that, while having an ICT component, might intersect with other disciplines.

The first Maria de Maeztu Strategic Research Program (MDM-2015-0502) was a 4 year research initiative funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness as part of the Maria de Maeztu Acreditation that the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at UPF obtained in 2015. The program served to promote data-driven knowledge extraction research within the department and to boost synergies across our research areas.
