JHU-UPF Public Policy Center researchers are engaged in the study of the conditions of employment and work and how this affects health and wellbeing of individuals and communities. This knowledge can help identify and promote global institutional changes and policies that facilitate the reduction of social inequalities.

Some issues included in this research line are:

  • Monitoring and understanding employment precariousness and health.
  • The social mechanisms of occupational and environmental injuries.
  • The impact of EU regulations in the global order, and the center-periphery relations in the EU political economy.
