Marisol E. Ruiz
Researcher at the Health Inequalities Research Group - Employment Conditions Network (GREDS-EMCONET), Department of Political and Social Sciences, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona.
She holds a Phd in Biomedicine (2018) and master degrees in Gender Studies and Culture from the Universidad de Chile (2007) and in Public Health, from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (2013). She worked for several years at the Ministry of Health in Chile. Her research interests lie in social determinants of health, especially employment conditions and gender inequalities. Her current research focuses on informal employment and its impact on population health.
MSc, PhD, is a post-doctoral researcher at the Health Inequalities Research Group – Employment Conditions Network (GREDS-EMCONET) of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the Johns Hopkins–Universitat Pompeu Fabra Public Policy Center. She holds a phD in Biomedicine, specialty in public health and a master’s degree in occupational health.
Her research is on employment conditions, precarious employment, informal employment and health inequalities, social protection policies and occupational health. She has been involved in several national and international projects related to employment conditions and the impact on health inequalities. He has been a visiting researcher at the World Health Organization (2018), at the Pontíficia Universidad Católica de Chile (2017), and at the Center for Research on Inner City Health (CRICH) in Toronto (2013/2014).
