Christos Zografos to participate in an event on Political Ecology and the Far Right

On the 7th December 2023, one of the Center's faculty members, Christos Zografos, will be chairing a session in an event held at the UPF, entitled "Imagining and Transforming Nature: Political Ecology and Far-Right in Southern and Central-Eastern Europe".

The event will run from 9.30am until 2.30pm on the 7th December, and will include 2 main sessions as well as an introduction by Camil Ungureanu (UPF) & Marc Sanjaume (UPF - GRTP).

Dr. Zografos will be chairing the first session, between 9.35-11.45, which will include the following intervientions:

  • Far-Right Ecologism: Environmental Politics and the Far Right in Hungary and Poland - Balša Lubarda (Head of Research, DAMAR Research Institute)
  • Religious Nationalism, Far right and Images of Nature in Post-communist Romania - Irina Velicu (Centre for Social Studies, Portugal) Mihaela Mihai (University of Edinburgh), Camil Ungureanu
  • Mainstreaming far-right ecologism? - the case of Romania - Camil Parvu (University of Bucharest)

The event will be held in the Mercè Rodoreda building of the UPF Campus de la Ciutadella.
