On July 18, the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) held the 4th edition of the Social Networking Conference, a meeting point for the university’s communication specialists and community managers to learn and share knowledge.
During the event, the 4th Golden Hashtag Awards were presented, to recognize and celebrate the best social network practices carried out during this academic year. The JHU-UPF Public Policy Center won the award for "Best Scientific Communication" with the video "Inequalities in COVID-19 inequalities Research: Who Had the Capacity to Respond?" The video was produced by Ángela Londoño, Communications Officer of the Center, and was posted on the Center's Instagram account (@publicpolicycenter). The video was chosen for its clear presentation of the research carried out and its effective use of resources for contextualising the issues being presented.
In the video, Lucinda Cash-Gibson, a researcher at the UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM) and JHU-UPF Public Policy Center, explains the research she has carried out within the emergent field of COVID-19 inequalities. "We decided to conduct a study to examine the type and volume of research being produced on health inequalities and COVID-19, to understand which countries were producing research on this topic, what kinds of collaborations were involved, and which world regions were developing research in this area," Lucinda stated.
