T-CAT P (UPF)
Who can ask for it
• The UFP issues T-CAT and T-CAT P electronic certificates for those members of the university community (Administration and Services Personnel or Research and Teaching Staff) who require it for the development of their functions.
- If you exercise a position, contact the General Secretariat.
- If you are a PAS (staff) or a PDI (professor or researcher) and you need it for the development of your functions, please contact the Human Resources and Organization Area ([email protected]).
Duration and renewal
Digital certificates have a validity of four years from the date of issue. However, you can cancel a digital certificate before the expiration date; For example, in case of loss or theft of the card, without assuming the modification of the mentioned period of validity.
Once the period of validity of a digital certificate has been completed, the digital certificate will be renewed. Two months before the expiration date of the certificate, the holder will receive a reminder notice and the information to renew the digital certificate.

What do you need to use it
The UPF has issued TCAT electronic certificates in three different formats:

Download the necessary software for the use of the digital certificate
You need to download the appropriate version of Safesign for your operating system.

Download the public keys of CATCert

Download the latest version of Java
It is highly recommended to have Java installed on your computer. If you do not know if it is installed, you can check it on the Java website.
If you have a 64-bit operating system (if you do not know it, follow this tutorial) it is recommended that you have both the 32-bit version and the 64-bit version of Java installed).

Activate the Portafirmes PAE
Once installed, if you want to use the Portafirmes PAE (Plataforma d'Administració Electrònica) you will need to add your certificate in the platform settings. Com configurar el certificat digital a la PAE (PDF) / video.

In case you do not remember the PIN or have repeatedly inserted a wrong one, the certificate will be blocked and you will only be able to retrieve it with the PUK code.
