The concept of responsible research and innovation (RRI) is an open and changing concept. In its current definition, one of the most important points is the need to involve society. The RRI proposes expect the needs of society and want to stablish a link with sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

The European Commission establishes these five main aspects:

• Participation
• Promotion of gender equality
