On January 16th Ricard Zapata-Barrero will present the concept of Interculturalism in the roundtable “Public Spaces: Culture and Integration in Europe” organized by CERI Sciences Po, Paris, as part of the three-year project “PLURISPACE: Negotiating Diversity in Expanded European Public Spaces” funded by HERA JRP PS of which GRITIM-UPF is acting as a Partner Institution. Zenia Hellgren´s new research project AGREP in collaboration with FAGiC (Federation of Roma Associations in Catalonia) and the Barcelona City Council’s Office for Non-Discrimination, funded by the European Commission´s REC Program, was on the UPF news and La Vanguardia Newspaper. More info.

The Audiovisual Seminar by Oriol Amoros i March (Government of Catalonia) which took place on December 5th 2019 at UPF Ciutadella Campus, as part of the GRITIM-UPF Seminar Series is now available: “Migration Policies in Catalonia: History, Present and Future Horizons”. More info.

Mina Prokic will defend her Doctoral Thesis on January 23rd at UPF Ciutadella Campus: “Intercultural Relations and Family-School Trust: Immigrant and Native Families in Schools of Barcelona.” More info.

The second round of applications for the 12th Edition of the Master in Migration Studies is now open until March 5th! More info.

Gemma Pinyol-Jiménez wrote for El País Newspaper on December 29th 2019: “Política migratoria: la década perdida. La acción pública en materia de migraciones no puede basarse solo en el control de fronteras.” More info.

Lorenzo Gabrielli was quoted in the article “España reduce al 50% la migración irregular pero crece la vía a Canarias. Marlaska subraya que Interior cumple el objetivo de 2019 y alaba el esfuerzo de Rabat.” published by El País Newspaper on December 29th 2019. More info.
