Diletta Marcucci

Diletta Marcucci holds a Master in International Relations (major - Global Studies) from the University of Wrocław, Poland. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Language, Culture, and Society of Asia and Mediterranean Africa (major – Mandarin Chinese) at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Italy.

Her Master’s thesis “Construction of newcomers’ image in the Italian society in 2017. Case studies of Milan and Naples”, defended with honour, won the 1st prize at the Competition for the Best Diploma Theses at the Institute of International Studies (Poland). Marcucci has been also an active participant at a few international conferences, including the 2nd International Science Conference between  NATO and the EU, the 3rd International Workshop on Chinese Migration in Spain, the 20th IMISCOE Annual Conference, et cetera.

She is currently a PhD candidate at the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra under the supervision of Prof. Ricard Zapata Barrero, a research assistant at GRITIM-UPF, a doctoral researcher in the project BROAD-ER and a member of the IMISCOE PhD Board Network. Her primary research topic is framed within Urban Intercultural Governance: “Urban Intercultural Governance: Exploring Intercultural Participation of Chinese Migrants in Barcelona and Amsterdam".
