Book Talk: Migrations in the Mediterranean, jointly organized with ECPR

30.11.2023

On the 15th of December, a Book Talk to discuss the recently published Migrations in the Mediterranean, co-edited by Ricard Zapata-Barrero (GRITIM-UPF) and Ibrahim Awad (American University in Cairo), has been jointly organized by the ECPR Standing Group on Migration and Ethnicity and EuroMedMig (GRITIM-UPF). This open access book gathers contributions from almost 40 researchers working on migration issues in the Mediterranean and analyses migration dynamics, as well as their drivers and impacts, from a conceptually broad and regional perspective, while showcasing a plurality of approaches.

For this special occasion, we have invited some of the books’ authors, who will present their respective chapters and will reflect on the book’s pertinence in light both of the current migration research agenda and recent migration developments in the Mediterranean.

We are glad to be able to count on the participation of Boutaina Ismaili (Mohammed V University in Rabat), Ibrahim Awad (The American University in Cairo), Hassan Bousetta (University of Liège), Ricard Zapata-Barrero (University Pompeu Fabra), and also Sarah Wolff as a special guest (Queen Mary University London).

Register and confirm participation now for the online event in the ECPR website!

Date and time: Friday, 15th December at 11am CET
