We are happy to announce that the Euro-Mediterranean Research Network on Migration (EuroMedMig), coordinated by GRITIM-UPF, has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed). This newly created partnership aims at uniting efforts and expertise to collaboratively produce and disseminate knowledge and advance arguments and potential policy-recommendations related to migrations in the Mediterranean, particularly by incorporating new and innovative perspectives into the research agenda, and by considering the Mediterranean as a regional category of analysis.

The MoU, which has been signed for an initial period of 5 years, establishes a framework for both institutions to explore common research and policy areas of interest, including the organization and participation in different types of activities and the promotion of joint projects.

As part of EuroMedMig’s efforts to consolidate its role as a platform for critical and interdisciplinary thinking of the Mediterranean agenda and its current developments, and as a forum for exchange and networking with Policy and Social actors, we are happy to foster co-production of knowledge mechanisms between Academia and key Mediterranean actors like IEMed. IEMed is the leading think and do tank specialised in Euro-Mediterranean relations providing policy-oriented research and fostering Euromed multidimensional and inclusive approaches.
