Research Lines
There are several interdisciplinary research groups from the Engineering Department at UPF which are mainly linked to CSIM.
These groups provide research projects for the master student's Master Theses, provide supervisors for guiding the theses, they also provide unique equipment, spaces and infrastructures in general, and they also provide professors for our CSIM courses.
These groups are very well positioned internationally in their respective fields.
The groups are the following:
- Full Body Interaction Lab - FubInLab (PI, Narcís Parés)
- Musical and Advanced Interaction, Music Technology Group - MTG (PI, Rafael Ramírez)
- Interactive and Distributed Techonologies for Education, TIDE (PI, Davinia Hernández-Leo; Patricia Santos)
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, including interdiscipliny studies of the human mind, AI-ML and collaborators (M. Sanchez-Fibla, D. Pacheco)
- Ubiquos Computing Applications Lab, UbiCA Lab (PI, Rafael Pous)
The research lines of these groups provide the basic and applied research lines of the CSIM Master program.
In the teaching of CSIM courses, there is participation of the Center for Brain and Cognition (PI: Nuria Sebastian-Gallés, PI: Juan M. Toro), also within the Engineering Department at UPF.
