In this CORE Talk, expert on Transmedia Storytelling Dr. Renira Rampazzo Gambarato is interviewed by UPF professor Dr. Manel Jiménez. Dr. Gambarato is Associate Professor in Media and Communication Studies at Jönköping University, Sweden, and her research interests involve transmedia storytelling analysis, the complexity of transmedia experiences, semiotics, and design. She has co-edited, with Geane Alzamora, the book Exploring Transmedia Journalism in the Digital Age (2018) and, with Matthew Freeman, the book The Routledge Companion to Transmedia Studies (2018). Her most recent book Theory, development, and strategy in transmedia storytelling (2020), co-edited with Alzamora and Lorena Tárcia.

 

Dr. Manel Jiménez is Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Pompeu Fabra University, and Vice-Rector for Educational Transformation, Culture, and Communication. He has been a scriptwriter, producer, and director for various film and television projects, as well as cultural programs. In 2013 he started to develop the strategy for MOOCs and new educational formats at UPF, entrusted with the incorporation of new technologies in teaching.
