Successful first edition of AI Workshop applied to communication organized by the Futures of Communication Chair

The generative AI workshop applied to communication, organized by the Futures of Communication Chair and aimed at partner companies, closes its first edition with highly positive feedback from participants, who praised the didactic approach, clarity of explanations, and practical access to new technological tools. The Chair thus strengthens its path toward applied knowledge transfer and teaching.

Between July 15 and 17, 2024, the Futures of Communication Chair held an intensive workshop on generative artificial intelligence aimed at communication professionals. The main objective was to introduce these professionals to new AI-assisted content creation tools, offering practical training with applications such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, and Runway. The sessions focused on text, image, and audiovisual content generation, aligning with previously identified needs through a preliminary survey.


 

Participants highlighted the clarity and practical focus of the sessions, especially valuing the opportunity to explore new AI tools in a professional setting. Despite the positive feedback, many participants suggested extending the course duration to delve deeper into certain specific tools. The success of this workshop has opened the door to future, more extensive and specific training sessions, thus responding to the ongoing demand for education in emerging technologies for communication professionals.
