This morning the Communication Department has once again hosted the kids breakfast. An initiative of the agency "The Modern Kids" in collaboration with the Complutense University of Madrid.
From next December 5, to December 7, 2017, it will be held the 2nd Conference of the International Place Branding Association in Swansea UK. A great show up for our research group and the department of communication UPF.

Friday 1st of December Dr.Lluís Mas, Dr.Maddalena Fedele and Dr.Olatz Larrea are presenting their paper on “The characters’ portrayal in the television ads consumed by 5-8 year-old children in Spain” at the Creative Industries Global Conference (CIGC).
CAS is an interdisciplinary group that studies the communication phenomena in the intersection between two areas: communication and advertising, on one hand; and individual and society, on the other hand.
The work of CAS has focused on three branches of study:
-Tourist brands and place branding.
-Influence of advertising messages on body image of children and adolescents.
-Sound studies and psychophysiological measures.
Consequently, it promotes the combined use of quantitative and qualitative techniques in order to achieve a deeper understanding of how communication and advertising influence people’s individual and social behaviour.
The research group belongs to the Department of Communication, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona (Spain).
