GALVANY LARRROUQUERE, ALBERT

He holds a PhD in Comparative Literature, a BA in Sinology and a BA in Philosophy. He specialized in the intellectual history of ancient China and classical Chinese at the University of Paris VII. He has published specialized articles in international magazines such as  Asiatische Studien,  Dao: A Journal of Comparative Philosophy and  Monumenta Serica. He is the editor of classical Chinese texts such as  The Art of War by Sun Tzu, and  Commentary on the Book of Changes by Wang Bi.  He has also translated the work of other sinologists into Spanish -  The Body Expressivity by Shigehisa Kuriyama,  Confucio by Jean Levi, and  The Great Image Has No Shape by François Jullien. He has taught at the Pompeu Fabra University Faculty of Humanities and on the Master's Degrees in the History of Religions and East Asian Studies, both of which were organized by the University of Barcelona. From 2008 to 2010 he held the position of postdoctoral researcher at the École Pratique des Hautes Études (Sorbonne, Paris), and in 2010 and 2011 that of guest researcher at the Internationales Kolleg für Geisteswissenschaftliche Forschung at the Friedrich-Alexander University (Nuremberg), and postdoctoral researcher in the Department of East Asian Studies at Cambridge University.
