The master's degree programme in Chinese Studies aims to offer specialized training in modern and contemporary China to professionals and university graduates with different backgrounds and from a variety of fields. This general objective can be broken down into the following three specific objectives:

  • To provide professionals and researchers with the training they need to pursue a professional or academic career based or focused on China and to apply the knowledge and skills they acquired in their previous training to areas related to China.
  • To produce professionals and researchers able to actively participate in Chinese-European relations in the areas of international trade, cultural management, institutional relations, migratory movements, etc.
  • To produce professionals and researchers able to grasp the complexity of contemporary China from a historical and civilizational perspective and, thus, able to enrich their analyses and decision-taking regarding matters related to East Asia within the methodological framework of their field of specialization.
